When the pandemic started, high school student Ava Bothe was determined to find a way to give back to the Covenant healthcare teams facing the COVID-19 crisis on the frontlines. Tapping into her talent and love for art, Ava decided to sell her artwork and donate half the proceeds from each piece to Covenant Foundation.

Unable to visit her grandfather in Covenant Health’s St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rachael Dong was inspired to take action to ensure residents feeling isolated received the support they needed. Along with her friend, Mena Burr, Rachael launched the #PlankTheCurveChallenge social media campaign, which called on Albertans to share photos of themselves doing the plank and tag others to do the same while requesting donations to our foundation.
Find out how much Rachael and Mena raised during their #PlankTheCurveChallenge and read the full story here.
Submit your idea for a community event to us and your fundraising story could be the next one we feature on this page!
