Adam Bilyk and his family are long-time donors to Covenant Foundation. Adam’s roots, both in Vegreville, and with the foundation go back many generations. He is proud to call Vegreville home, with his entire family growing up there, the family business being born there, and facilities he is passionate about supporting, such as Covenant Health’s St. Joseph’s General Hospital, being located there.
All but one of his grandparent’s has received end-of-life care at a Covenant facility, and Adam frequently visited his living grandmother during her time at St. Joseph’s General Hospital. When he met his wife, Krista, another connection was formed. Krista worked, and still works, at Covenant Health’s St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose. And very recently, Adam had another touchpoint with Covenant, when his beautiful daughter, Erin, was brought into the world at the Grey Nun’s Hospital in Edmonton. (Continued...)
Krista and Adam Bilyk
Adam has seen first-hand the level of care patients receive at Covenant facilities through every stage of life, and knows the money he donates can make a difference in someone’s life, saying, “That is why we support Covenant facilities. Because people deserve dignity and care. The last few days of someone’s life are just as important as the first few. That’s why I do what I do in the first place—to help people.”
When asked about the family business, Adam equates success with being able to give back to his community: “It is great working with my father and being part of the family business. We push each other to do better, and when we do, we make more money to give to charitable causes like Covenant Foundation.” Adam encourages those who have the ability to do the same.
