As we work together to help keep our families, friends and communities safe, we’re thinking of our friends in the Covenant Foundation family - whether you are self-isolating at home, worried about elderly family members or neighbours, or delivering health care on the frontlines of a pandemic unlike anything we’ve seen before.
We’re immensely grateful for the heroes among us – the medical teams and first responders who are facing the unprecedented challenges of this public health emergency. Thank you for your dedication, compassion and grace as you do everything you can to support your patients, families and colleagues.
As we continue to honour our mission to support and enhance health care delivery for the patients, residents and families we serve, Covenant Foundation is taking the necessary steps to ensure that work continues but that it continues in a way that supports and recognizes the country’s public health response to COVID-19.
We’ve moved to a virtual environment for meetings – both externally and internally.
We’re working with our health partners to determine how best to allocate resources to ensure help reaches those who need it most.
And we’re picking up the phone and reaching out to the people we serve – people with loved ones in hospital or continuing care – to see what they may need and how we can help. Sometimes the sound of a familiar voice on the other end of the line can make a world of difference to looking after each other when many folks are feeling isolated and anxious. Our team is working to do everything we can, with the support of our friends in the community, to help Albertans in need while also helping protect the health of our families, friends and colleagues.
Beyond the health and safety risks of the novel coronavirus, we understand and appreciate the financial strain and hardship it’s creating in ways many of us could not imagine. Even as Albertans face incredible uncertainty, we’ve been touched to receive requests from donors looking for ways to help. If you are able to and would like to make a donation to help us meet the highest priority needs of the Covenant hospitals and continuing care facilities we support in the face of the evolving COVID-19 crisis, please make a gift today. Whether the challenges are in acute care, critical care or continuing care, your generosity means we’re investing in the tools necessary to provide the best care possible to patients, residents and families as the COVID-19 crisis unfolds. If you would like to learn more about how you can help strengthen and enhance health care in your community, please connect with Foundation staff through our regular phone numbers and email addresses found here.
Thank you for working with us to take care of each other. Together. We Can.
